Dublin is the core of theatre in Ireland and it`s theatrical scene remains active throughout the year with something to suit everyone`s tastes.

There is almost always something worth seeing ranging from lunchtime performances at Bewley`s cafe theatre to evening performances at the Abbey , Gaiety and the Gate - to name but a few....

Writers,actors,musicians, poets and playwrights all of international standing have lived and worked in Ireland - such as Yeats, Kavanagh,Beckett, U2, Liam Neeson and Colin Farrell to name but a few.

Abbey & Peacock Theatre
     

Also known as Ireland’s National Theatre and Europe’s oldest English speaking theatre it was founded in 1903 by W.B Yeats and Lady Augusta Gregory.
